19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev secured his first title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a former world number one, has endured a challenging season, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the American major.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in specific - caused him falling of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with former coach his previous coach.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually progressed in the past month - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's first championship after the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt from spring of the previous year.
Success also signifies he has secured 21 victories at 21 distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I won when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his capacity to compete at the top level was over.
But the player has altered his approach in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, securing four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his maiden tour victory, took control to push for a final set.
Moutet rescued four early-game chances in a competitive final set before the champion won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
