I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
